Curious about your family’s story? Learn how to research your family history using the many free genealogy resources available through the Akron-Summit County Public Library’s Special Collections Division.

Library staff will share tips for using online databases, newspapers, historic print resources and more to help you uncover your family’s past.

The Special Collections Division houses one of Ohio’s largest genealogy and local history collections, with resources covering Ohio, surrounding and eastern seaboard states, other countries, military history and family histories.

This program is geared toward adults, but all ages are welcome. Registration is required; walk-ins are welcome as space allows.
