Join members of the Greater Akron Audubon Society for guided Bird Walks at Stan Hywet, and experience the estate grounds through the sights and sounds of nature. These morning hikes take place on Fridays — March 13, April 10, May 8, September 11, October 9, and November 13, 2026 — from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m.

Participants will explore the gardens and grounds while learning to identify various bird species found throughout the estate. Whether you’re a seasoned birder or brand new to birding, these walks offer a relaxed, educational way to connect with the natural beauty of Stan Hywet.

Guests should bring their own binoculars, smartphone, camera, and/or camera equipment if desired. Bird Walks are open to adults and youth ages 13 and older. Each date requires separate registration, and capacity is limited to 15 participants per walk for a more personal experience.

Pricing is free for Stan Hywet members, $7 for nonmember youth (ages 13–17), and $15 for nonmember adults. Registration closes at the program start time for each Bird Walk.

A minimum of 5 registered guests is required for each date; if fewer are registered by 4:00 p.m. the day prior, that Bird Walk date will be canceled.
